ok so for those who are only familiar with elvis costello’s clearly inferior cover, i haven’t completely given up on locating my robert wyatt shipbuilding 12″45 – but whilst you are waiting here is the wonderful final song on his 1974 release rock bottom also featuring that other great british eccentric, ivor cutler on … um … baritone harmonium, and vocals.
