so this is where i inflict my taste in music on people. i have been making radio on and off for over twenty years, in hobart and sydney and from 2004-2007 at the so-called community radio station 2aaa-fm in wagga wagga australia where i live. the fact that the station  plays almost exclusively top 40 and golden oldies and generates enough money from its on air advertising sponsorships to pay two full time “sales staff” to sell the advertising sponsorship, seems somewhat incongruous with community radio, but maybe that’s just me.

towards the end of 2007 it all became too much man and the last saftmasheen radio broadcast took place on october 25, 2007, but it will live on in the form of occasional podcasts. stay tuned.

when i get a spare million years this site will be an archive of all my radio shows, past and present, good and bad, that i still have recordings of. oh yes : even some of those old dichroma kids shows and that edition of 48 thrills that got us banned for life from rrr-fm. enjoy.
